Building Change in Belize
Dear Friends and Family,
My name is Lisa Proulx and I am an elementary school teacher in JCPS in Louisville, KY. I am also a Mom to two lovely daughters who are 14 and 11. Helping others and traveling are two things I love to do. This immersion trip combines both of these passions. I have always wanted to complete a trip like this. It’s been on my longstanding bucket list of things to complete before I turn 40… so I’m cutting it kind of close. I am more excited about taking my 14 year old daughter than anything else. I think this will be a wonderful experience for both of us.
My Dad, who passed away when I was just 11, was a carpenter. I often helped him with projects and went along to his building sites or when he met with clients. In addition to helping the people in Belize and opening my daughters mind to new experiences and giving to others, this trip would be an amazing way for me to honor my Dad’s memory.
If you are able to donate, we would be extremely grateful. Your donations are tax deductible and part of the money goes towards the supplies for the house we will be building. Check out Hand in Hand Ministries for more information. We hope to raise enough to attend the trip in July 2019.
