Tripster – Makinzee White

Makinzee Builds Change in Belize

Dear Friends and Family,

My name is Makinzee White, and I am a senior at Assumption High School in Louisville, KY. Service is something I have always been passionate about and during my high school career I have completed 236 hours of service through many different organizations in our communities. Assumption gives seniors the opportunity to go on a mission trip during our designated Mission Week if we choose to participate. They give us several options to choose from which include local locations, locations within the United States and 1 international location which this year is Belize.  There are a limited number of spots for each trip so we are encouraged to pray about it and “put our name in the hat” for the trip we feel we are being called to go on.  I was fortunate enough to be chosen for the Belize trip and I truly believe this is God calling me to go where he feels I will be able to make the biggest difference.

After hearing others talk about their experiences from doing an international mission trip I am more excited than ever about this opportunity I have been given.  I have always known at some point in my life I wanted to travel the world and give back.  I know this will be an eye opening experience for me and I cannot wait to meet new people, help others, and make a difference. Making a difference is extremely important to me even if it is just for one person.

I would be extremely grateful if you are able to donate to my trip. Funds are due by January 15. Please make all donations out to Hand in Hand Ministries. Your donations are tax deductible and you can find out more information if you check out Hand in Hand Ministries.  Thank you in advance for anything you can do to help send me to Belize in February 2019.
