Peyton Mills Travels to Nicaragua
Dear Family and Friends,
As many of you know, I was given the opportunity to join a group in building a new home for a family in Belize last summer with Hand in Hand Ministries. Upon arriving, I saw a depth of poverty that was beyond what I could’ve imagined. They were living on dirt floors and suffering from severe asthma because of their poor living conditions. But after a hard week of work, we had built a 20 x 20 house that put smiles on their faces bigger than I had ever seen. I felt so blessed to be a part of giving them a safer life and hope for the future.
Since the moment I waved goodbye to that family, my life hasn’t been the same and I think about that trip every day. I have found so much joy in knowing that I was a part of changing the life of this family, and it has also sparked the fire I’ve always had for doing mission work. Since the age of 10, I’ve felt called to go on mission trips to Tennessee, St. Louis, Appalachia, and Belize. This summer from July 1-8, I have another exciting opportunity to help a community in need: Nicaragua!
Once again, I will be going with Hand in Hand ministries, and I cannot wait to meet the wonderful family we will be building a home for. In the mornings we will be building a home alongside a family who is in desperate need for a safe and reliable place to come home to. In the afternoons, we will interact with children by participating in activities like swimming, crafting, and ultimately reinforcing their goals for a better life through the education program they are a part of.
I am incredibly excited to share God’s love in Nicaragua but in order to make this trip happen, I am going to need much help. As I prepare for this trip, I would greatly appreciate any financial contribution you are able to provide. Any amount, big or small, can help to meet the goal of $2300 which will go toward making a lasting difference in the lives of this family and the surrounding community. If you are unable to donate at this time I would greatly appreciate your words of encouragement and prayers. Thank you!
Peace and Blessings,
